

Geraldine “Jerry” Worrell peacefully passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 with family at her side. Jerry was 93 at the time of her death. Born to Bill and Freda Kegans on December 26, 1928 in Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated from Deming High School in Deming, New Mexico as class Valedictorian. She lived in several states; from Arizona to Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, California, New York and then back to Colorado in 1970. Jerry was married to Vernon Worrell for 49 years until his death in 1999. Jerry is survived by their four children, Rodney Worrell, Cynthia Perez, Nancy Travis and Gary Worrell. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by her parents, her sister and her little brother who died shortly after birth.
Jerry was very creative and had many hobbies consisting of the following: gardening, sewing, quilt making, knitting, crocheting, needlework and cooking/baking. Jerry also loved playing board games, cards and genealogy. She was a direct descendant of Texas “Old 300” early settlers. Jerry was a member at the Highland Baptist Church in Westminster, CO where she continued practicing her Christian faith.
Services will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Olinger Highland Mortuary located at 10201 North Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229. Viewing will be at 9:00 a.m., services at 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with funeral procession immediately following to Olinger Evergreen Cemetery, 200 East 168th Avenue, Broomfield, CO 80023 at 11:45 a.m.
Reception to be held following burial at: Highland Baptist Church located at 9185 Utica Street, Westminster CO 80031 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
