Maxine met the love of her life and married Melvin Pfalzgraff in October 1951. They were married for 57 years before the Lord called Melvin home in 2008. In 1956 they welcomed their first child Gary Lee followed by Cheryl Lynn in 1959. Their family was complete, and the family resided in Northglenn, Colorado from 1962 to 2018. In 1983 Melvin and Maxine welcomed Frank Spottke Jr into their family as their son-in-law. Frank and Cheryl gave them their first 2 grandchildren, Cheri and Randy. In 1985 Frank Spottke III joined the family. In 2000 their first great granddaughter Phoenix Rae was born to Randy. In 2011 their next great granddaughter Caelynn was born to Frank III and then came Jaxon in 2016 born to Frank III also. Jaxon took over the great grandkids, being the only boy, and warned everyone to "hang on"!
Maxine loved her family more than anything in the world. She enjoyed hosting events and was the best cook ever. There wasn't anything she couldn't make. The gatherings were so special to her because she knew her family would always be there.
Melvin and Maxine were long time members of Northglenn Christian Church and made so many friends that they called family. As the years went by more and more of their "church families" passed away. It was difficult for Maxine to go through those years, but she made the best of it.
Helen Maxine Pfalzgraff is survived by her daughter Cheryl (Frank) Spottke, granddaughter Cheri Spottke, Grandsons Randy Spottke (Diana) and Frank Spottke III. She is also survived by great granddaughters Phoenix Rae Spottke and Caelynn JoAnn Spottke and great grandson Jaxon Thomas Spottke. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her loving husband Melvin and her first born child Gary and all of her siblings.
The family is having a private graveside service in the near future. We ask for your love and prayers during this difficult time and thank you all for your friendships.
