

school in Howe and entered training to fulfill her dream of helping people as a Registered Nurse. With her blue eyes, quick smile, and infectious laugh she
brightened the day for all who knew her. Jo had many activities that she enjoyed such as being with family and friends, church, bible study, playing bridge and
tennis, and putting together small dinner parties, dining out, leisurely drives into the country, traveling and sharing her life experiences with family and friends.
Jo Ann loved her little four-legged friends, especially Penni, her little loyal dog, who spent many hours laying in her lap as her Lewy Body dementia sadly
progressed. Jo Ann even adopted a feral male cat that came into the backyard, and eventually Jo would open the door and the cat would come in to visit for a
few minutes or at evening time.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Mary Gunthrorp. Jo Ann is survived by her husband Rich Kackmeister, her children Laura
Ruben) Pina, Karin (Bill) Roeschlein, step children Amy (Brad) Baum, Alan (Liz) Detmeister, eight grandchildren, sister Mary Kaye (Ray) Schramm, brother
John (Pat) Gunthrop, ex-husband Gar Cross, nieces and many beloved relatives, and her lifelong friends.
Jo Ann will be greatly missed for all the sunshine she brought into our lives.
Services for Jo Ann will be held at Olinger Highland, 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, CO. on Saturday, April 16th. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. and funeral
services will be at 11:00a.m. with a reception following the services.
Memorial donations can be made in Jo Ann's name to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road S.W., Lilburn, GA. 30047, and are very
