Joan Marie Canada

Joan was born on February 1, 1951, in Broken Bow, Nebraska, to Charles and Helen Thomas. She grew up alongside her siblings and carried the values of love, resilience, and independence throughout her life.

Joan was a devoted mother to her daughter, Samantha Larson, and son-in-law, John Larson. She found immense joy in being a grandmother to Bryce and Jacob Larson. Her family was the heart of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Joan had a quiet yet fierce spirit that left a lasting impression on those who knew her. She found solace in reading and had a passion for crafts and sewing. Whether creating something beautiful with her hands or simply enjoying time with loved ones, she embraced life with warmth and dedication.

She is also survived by her brothers Donald and Gene Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Wayne Thomas; her sister Clara Hale; and her absentee husband, Joseph Canada.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 22, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at John & Samantha’s House, located at 5317 Cedar Street in Firestone, Colorado.

Joan was dearly loved and will be incredibly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
