Kristina Kathleen Colyn

The family of Kristina Kathleen Colyn is in deep sorrow in her passing at the age of only 40. Previously, she has two open heart surgeries and was waiting for a third. Kristy was a competitive, but loving person. She loved God, her family, sports and especially animals.

Kristy graduated from Northglenn High School. She was a member of the National Honor Society and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She played on the varsity basketball team and soccer team beginning as a freshman. Her favorite activity was horse barrel racing with her beloved horse, Breezy.

She also graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Business Administration. She was a member and vice president of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. After graduation, Kristy held a variety of positions primarily in the human relations professions.

She is survived by her parents Clarence and Susan Colyn, brother Steven, sister in-law Samantha, aunt Nancy Hart, uncle Leo Hart, cousins and niece Brynn and nephew Graham. She also had loved her horse Breezy and dogs Paisley and Rig.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 12th at 11:00 AM at Crossroads Community Center, 10451 Huron Street Northglenn, CO 80234, with a reception to follow.
