He joined the Air Force in 1964 and received the electronics education that served him well in his 30 year career in telecommunications.
He was married to his wife, Judy, May 28,1967 and they welcomed two sons into their lives; Chris in 1971 and Nick in 1972. In time, two daughters-in-law and two granddaughters were added to complete the family.
Larry had a quick sense of humor that enabled him to connect with people. He retained that humor until the end.
We often said that Larry was born “with a schematic in his brain” that helped him do home renovations, repair car engines and answer “help me” calls for any project anyone needed help on.
Larry got his first motorcycle when he was in the Air Force and rode one until three years ago. He and Judy toured many parts of the U.S. on those bikes; always an adventure!
He enjoyed camping with friends and family, family vacations; including a river cruise for their 50th wedding anniversary. And special occasions with extended family, lifelong friends, and church family.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by his wife, Judy, his sons and their wives, Chris and Aimee Hendren, Nick and Michele Hendren and his granddaughters, Trinity and Kira Hendren.
A celebration of his life and his relationship with Jesus Christ will be held April 19, 2024, 10:30 am at Tri-City Baptist Church, 6953 W. 92nd Lane, Westminster, Colorado.
