Larry Ronald Kuehn

Larry Ronald "Ron" Kuehn, of Thornton, Colorado, passed away at his home on April 28, 2024. He was 82 years old. Ron was born in Denver, Colorado on August 11, 1941, to Roy Albert and Hazel Irene (Hale) Kuehn.

Ron is survived by his wife, June Kuehn; daughters, Devrie and Tracie; stepsons, Glenn and Don; brother, Jim (Linda) Kuehn; many cousins, nieces, nephews and Christine, whom he loved like a daughter. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Bob. Ron and his daughters shared a special love together.

Ron and his brothers grew up in the Great Depression Era. Despite being afflicted with polio as a child, Ron did not let that slow him down.

Ron worked as a printer. Initially, he worked for a large corporation but later opened his own print shop. He later bought a building in Eastlake, Colorado and opened Kuehn Printing. Together they ran that business for 25 years.

Ron and June participated in and served on the Thornton City Council for many years. Ron collected stamps and coins and made many friends as he bought, sold and traded them on Ebay. In his youth, Ron and his brother, Bob, liked to collect pumpkin seeds. They would salt, roast and eat them, especially during the Halloween season. This activity led to 100's of pumpkins piling up in the garage after Halloween waiting to be processed.

Ron's family had a tradition of playing lawn darts. Lawn Darts became an annual tournament that featured traveling trophies and special t-shirts.

As June and Ron's parents aged, they each stepped up to assist financially and emotionally. They provided housing, vehicles, groceries and love to family and others in need, truly showing the love of Jesus in their actions. They were always ready to help.

Ron loved Jesus, his family, lawn darts, lace cookies and his dogs, His jokes and laughter will always be a favorite memory to everyone.
