Larry Emery Minert was born September 18, 1936 in Nelson, Nebraska to the union of Glenn and Rosie Alma (Simmons), he was the youngest of eight children. Larry came to Colorado in 1962 and married Mary Lee McClimans on June 22, 1963. The couple was blessed with three children: Pauline, Tim and Phillip. Larry was a Custodian for an elementary school for 25 years. He truly loved working with the children. Larry also loved Bolo Ties and had a collection of over 1600 ties.
Larry is survived by his devoted wife Mary of more than 55 years; two sons: Tim and Phillip; three grandchildren: Sara, Heather and Zander; one brother Harry Minert; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Pauline, his parents, and seven siblings. He will be deeply missed.
