Louis Robert (“Louie”) Swift was born April 27, 1938 in Conneaut, Ohio to Benjamin Franklin Swift and Susan Louise (Dennison) Swift. He was an affectionate, loving, and hardworking man who always put others first.
After high school, Louie joined the United States Army. After finishing his service, he decided to settle in Denver, Colorado. In March 1982, he met his wife Victoria Sue Brown, and they spent the next 42 years together raising a family and enjoying friends and family, whom he loved dearly.
Louie loved sports, everything from playing minor league baseball and coaching Hank’s Outlaws softball team to watching his kids play football, baseball, and softball (and arguing with the umpires). He enjoyed watching game shows, football, and baseball. He cheered for the Colorado Rockies, win or lose, on television or at Coors Field. Louie also enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and friends.
Louie was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara, Ethel, Mattie, Agnes, and Janet and brothers, Joseph, Benjamin, and Johnny; sons-in-law, Frank Portillo Jr. and Dimitri Baca; and daughters, Jeanette Vigil and Susan Baca.
