Margaret Dorothy Weaver was born on January 1, 1923 just outside of Brighton, CO to parents, Jesse and Louise Weaver. She attended Wattenburg School and graduated from Ft. Lupton High School. She married John McCarrick and they had 3 children; Jess, Charlotte, and Robert. They made their home in Commerce City, CO where she continued to live.
Early on in her career she worked at Mountain States Telegraph. Over the years she had several jobs while raising her children and retired from Translogic.
Dorothy was preceded in death by Jess McCarrick Sr. (son), John McCarrick (husband), Charlotte Miller (Daughter), Robert McCarrick (son), Jessie Eppinger (sister), Eva Mae Wassam (sister), and Shawn Miller (Grandson).
She is survived by Gladys Chapman (sister), several grand children, great grand children, 1 great-great grandson, numerous nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed dancing, bowling, Curves, calligraphy, coloring, and baking. She was a member of the American Legion, and a dowsing club. She enjoyed hosting the annual 4th of July parties for friends and family.
After a short battle with Pneumonia, she passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 9, 2017.
