They say people come into our lives for a reason. From the moment I met you I knew you were someone special. Your passion to care for kids with Special needs was very inspirational. You were a second mother and Mentor to me. I will miss our daily talks and all your advice. Thank you for everything! You meant the World to me and your Grandchildren Jordan & Teiona. The many things you’ve done and all the times you were there for us the past 25 years have meant the world to us.  You left us beautiful memories that we will always treasure. Always loved, never forgotten, forever missed.

Maria, was the “Queen of Supreme!” I still can’t fathom that she has ventured into the supernatural life. It’s all too surreal. We had so many laughs and momentous situations together, I can’t commence to mention them all. The one most prominent was when she would say, “Jeff, you’re my favorite son-in-law.” I would respond, “Maria, I am your only son-in-law.” Her personable and ardent ways, made her irresistible to both young and old. I was amazed at how relentless she dedicated her  life to helping others. It was evident with  her colossal involvement with Special Olympics,  Foster parenting, and Caregiving! Prior to meeting her, I had no concept of how humbling and gratifying being involved with those entities entailed! I remember what turned out to be my final conversation with her. I had fallen  asleep in the chair next to her bed. When I awoke, I looked over at her and said, “Maria, are you ok?” She gave me the thumbs up and winked! What a precious and lasting impression! With the myriad of talented things she did and her TREMENDOUS LOVE FOR HER GRANDCHILDREN,  I deem her irreplaceable!  I will definitely miss her infectious ways! Her legacy will be perpetual.  “Long live the Queen!”

I remember when our family got our first record player. I only had one record at the time. Cousin Mary said she had lots of albums I can use. But I had to return them back to her. I went to her home and found out she had lots of albums to choose from. Dee Sharp, Fats Domino, Frankie Vallie and the 4 seasons, to give you an idea of what she had. Way before my time of music. I played them so much, I wore them out. I never did return them because they were worn out. Too funny today. But the music was really cool for me. Just watching the turn table turn memorized me. That's what I remember about Cousin Mary. oh, yes, Her laughter was contagious . I will miss her. 

Hey Maria. You will be sorely missed. I've always enjoyed our talks and visits. It was always funny to try and figure out our phone issues. I remember the first time I met you one of the recitals for dance you help me with the tickets and we became Fast Friends. I love going on the cruises, many dance recitals, parties, fundraisers, I'm just get-togethers we got to have. You are such a neat and talented lady. Thank you for sewing my shorts and Julie's costumes in saving our dignity. I left to go to the mini Special Olympics functions and your organization's especially when Matthew and Julie would dance how to entertain people at your many organizations. It was always fun to go to the Broncos games to do concessions for my kids and your grandkids. You are such a talented, fun, compassionate, helpful and sweet person. The world will not be the same without you. Please watch over us and help us in this crazy world. You will be ingrained in my memory and heart forever. You were family to us. I'm sure you will spice up heaven with your sweet spirit. I will look forward to the day when we can meet again my friend.

Everybody is going to miss you especially the special Olympics family.
You will always be remembered!❤️

Maria, you may not be with us physically,  but you will always remain in our hearts. We will always remember the ski trips and track trips with Special Olympics.  You were always our leader, which we all appreciated.  You will always be remembered with love.
