Marie R. Evans

Marie, born June 14, 1914, in Missouri Valley, Iowa, was 8 days shy of her 98th birthday. She was married to Wesley F. Evans on October 24, 1936, in Elk Point, South Dakota. They enjoyed 72 years of marriage, before being preceded in death by her husband, on February 13, 2009. Marie and Wesley had two children, Gwendolyn Ann Corbett and Robert Craig Evans. Marie was also preceded in death by her daughter, Gwen, on Feb. 7, 2012. Surviving Marie are her son, Robert (Jackie Jones-Evans), her son-in-law, George Corbett, 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of cherished friends. Marie was a retired U.S. Civil Service worker from the U.S. Air Force Finance Center in Denver. Marie was a life long devoted member of the Community of Christ Church.

Arrangements and Celebration of Marie’s Life are being provided by Olinger Highland Mortuary and Cemetery, Thornton, CO, with viewing on Sunday June, 10, 2012, between 2pm-5pm and services on Mon., June 11, 2012 at 10am.
