Mary Elizabeth Jordan

Mary Elizabeth Jordan October 26, 1932 – March 25, 2011. Born Mary Elizabeth Sale to Joseph and Pauline (Bush) Sale in LaJunta Colorado. Married to Ray W. Jordan who preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother Wilbur Sale; her children Paula (David); Mindy; and Michael; her Grandchildren Rebecca (Justin); Keith; Melanni (Derek); Megan; William; John; and Caitlin; Great Grandchildren Chaz and Chasity. She worked for US West for over 20 years. She was also a member of the Rebekahs, a branch of Independent Order of Odd Fellows for 61 years. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school, sewing, needlework, sketching, and singing. She will be sorely missed.

We’ve known lots of pleasure,

At times endured pain,

We’ve lived in the sunshine

And walked in the rain.

But now we’re separated

And for a time apart,

But I am not alone-

You’re forever in my heart.

Death always seems so sudden,

And it is always sure,

But what is oft’ forgotten –

It is not without a cure.

There may be times you miss me,

I sort of hope you do,

But smile when you think of me,

For I’ll be waiting for you.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 10:00AM at Grace Presbyterian Church, Centennial, Colorado. Mary will be dearly missed by all who knew her and loved her. She will be forever in our hearts and in our minds. Arrangements under the direction of Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, Thornton, CO.
