Mary Nadine Walton of Denver, Colorado passed away October 17, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born August 1, 1921 in New Albany, Mississippi to Phoree and Dura Mae (Byrd) Scott. She was married to Elmore Walton and together they raised a beautiful family. Mary loved to cook and made sure everyone had a plate in front of them when they came to visit. She worked tirelessly as a cosmetologist until her retirement. Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband Elmore. She is survived by her children Rosalind Simon, Ronald Walton, Donald Walton; grandchildren Reginald Simon, Adrian Walton, Brook Young, Shawn Brown, Tierra Smith, Phoree Walton, Ashley Walton, and Haley Walton; 9 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law Emmon Walton; and many many friends. Mary will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held Thursday, October 20 from 4-8pm at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 Grant Street, Thornton. Her funeral service will be Friday, October 21, 10am at Olinger Highland Mortuary.
