

Beloved son, grandson, brother, cousin and friend
Matthew Jaynes-Jacquez, 10, son of Christopher Jaynes and Elizabeth “Lisa” Jacquez passed away on Tuesday August 23rd, 2016 at 11:13am, surrounded by his loving parents and family at Children’s Hospital in Aurora while being treated for an accidental asphyxiation trauma. Matthew was born on Thursday June 15, 2006 at Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville, Colorado. Matthew was a 5th grader at Mountain View Elementary and was well liked amongst his peers. He was elected as a Student Council Representative in 3rd grade and was awarded a Bobcat Webelo Award in November 2015. Matthew was a Wii U and X-box aficionado, Lego Master, skilled camper and lover of the outdoor wildlife. With promising engineering skills, he hoped to become either a Computer Engineer or a Veterinarian alum at Colorado University at Boulder. Matthew is survived by his parents Christopher Jaynes and Elizabeth “Lisa” Jacquez, his sisters, Breanna and Melanie all from Broomfield. Grandparents Cesareo and Elena Jacquez from Broomfield, Penny and Michael Pettit from Florida. Aunts and uncles Gabriel and Diane Jacquez from Thornton, Julio and Liliana Jacquez from Westminster, and Dave and Tammie McGough of Thornton. Matthew had a beautiful strong connection with his cousins, Ethan, Malerie, Brayden, Morgan, Emma, Samantha, Brandie. Many second cousins Harvey, Ambrose, Cylus, DiAndra, Brooklyn, Bella, Tyler, Nina, Soluna, Elijah and plus many other great second cousins, and friends. Lastly, his fury canine siblings Stella and Snowflake, and guinea pig Princess.Arrangements under the direction of Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, Thornton, CO.
