Richard was a strong, caring, compassionate, hard-working man. Yet always willing to play the clown to make his family laugh. He had a deep, infectious laugh and loved to laugh, as well.
Richard was an avid reader with a deep love of books. He also enjoyed sharing movies with his family. He was an excellent artist that liked to pencil sketch. Always an outdoorsman, he loved fishing, hunting, walks, or scenic drives. Richard had a deep appreciation of music, with an extensive music collection and attendance at scores of concerts throughout his life. And, of course, he was a lifelong Bronco fan. Richard loved his family deeply, as they loved him deeply in return. He was proud of his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. His legacy will live on.
Richard is survived by his wife, Lorna Yeager of Denver, CO; his daughters, Laurie Coatman of Denver, CO; Barbara Jacobs of Lakewood, CO and Kimberly Ware of Denver,CO; his grandchildren, Aimee' Copen of Aurora, CO; Ashley Meester of Reunion, CO; Rickie Meester of Aurora, CO; Alicia Lifter of Aurora, CO; Christopher Coatman of Thornton, CO; Stacey Coatman of Arvada, CO; Brandon Ware of Denver, CO and Devon Ware of Denver, CO; his great grandchildren, Taylor Copen of Aurora, CO; Trayton Copen of Aurora, CO; Kira Ryszkowski of Reunion, CO; Jordan Coppo of Reunion, CO; Mason Lifter of Aurora, CO; Madison Lifter of Aurora, CO; Allie Coatman of Thornton, CO; Kyler Coatman of Thornton, CO and Amaya Mead of Thornton, CO; and his siblings, Joyce Gibson of Norfolk, England; Thomas Yeager of Alamogordo, NM and Robert Yeager of Payson, AZ.
