Ron was born in Jacksonville Florida on June 6, 1957, and passed away peacefully in his true home of Northglenn, Colorado, surrounded by his loving and dedicated family on August 21, 2025.
Although Ron was born in Florida, where his parents Tom and Ann Cox were briefly residing, Ron would consider himself a native of Colorado.
Ron attended Holy Cross School, and then graduated from Regis High School in 1975. He was honored to be admitted to Regis College. Ron was an "old school soul", and was truly loyal to his few employers. His first major employer was with the Rainbow Bread Company, which would lead him to find the love of his life - Frances Michele Cox. He would then move on from Rainbow Bread Company to secure long-term employment with the Coors's Glass plant. It was at the Coors Glass Plant that he would work alongside many meaningful peers for 38 years until his retirement in 2016.
Ron was an amazing, dedicated, and loving husband to Frances Michele Cox. Together they raised one remarkable daughter; Jennifer M. Cox. He was a devoted husband, doting father, amazing brother, and best of all - beloved grandfather to Nicholas Hawk Thompson. Ron was always there to offer his love and guidance. His presence brought joy, optimism, tenacity, humor, and warmth to all who knew him.
Ron would never hesitate to share that one of his most important milestones was his unwavering, loving, dedicated and amazing marriage to his beautiful wife, Michele, for which they had just celebrated 45 years of marriage.
Ron had many passions in life including bowling, fishing, Rocky Mountain National Park, star gazing, Hawaii, Alaska, South Padre Island, TX, and his love of traveling with family. Ron was a "Die Hard Denver Nuggets fan" - way before they ever won any trophy. He was THAT loyal. He enjoyed these last few winning years with family and friends. Ron could ALWAYS make you smile - or make you roll your eyes with his dry sense of humor.
Ron is predeceased by his parents, Thomas "Tom" Cox and Carol "Ann" Cox; as well as his younger brother Randall Cox.
Ron is survived by his loving wife Frances Michele Cox, his daughter Jennifer M. Cox and his grandson Nicholas Hawk Thompson. Ron is lovingly remembered by his siblings Sharon (Greg) Stillwell, Cindy (Steve) Salg, Greg (Dawn) Cox, Melinda (Tony) Cox Leffert, and Matt (Tami) Cox. He will also be missed by his mother in law Timmie Torres, brother in law Joey (Karen) Torres, brother in law Ronny Torres, and sister in law Gina Becker. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles, as well as countless friends who already miss him dearly.
A funeral service to celebrate Ronald C. Cox's life will be held on September 3, 2025, at Crossroads Church - 10451 Huron Street, Northglenn, CO ,80234 at 10:00 am with reception to follow right after. Family and friends are invited to attend, celebrate Ron and his beautiful family, and pay respects.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Sarah Cannon Cancer Center, 10103 Ridgegate Pkwy, #GO1, Lone Tree, Colorado, 8012 - in Ronald C. Cox's memory.
Rest in peace, Ron, our family champion husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend to too many to count. Your memory, strength, perservencence, resolve, sense of humor, and loyalty will live on in our hearts forever. We already miss you every day.
