Sadie L. Gallegos

Lucia Selia Escobedo who was better known as Sadie Lucy Gallegos passed away, February 25th 2024 at 11:00 pm in Denver CO at age 94. Sadie was born Mar 21, 1929 To Joe Valerio Escobedo and Cora Maclovia Eames, in Huerfano County CO in the town of Gardner CO.

Sadie Married the love of her life Arthur Luis Gallegos on October 4th 1952 at the Church of the Holy Ghost In Denver, CO. Sadie had a High School education and ran her own housekeeping business working with some of Denver’s prominent people. While Sadie moved around Denver a few times her and Arthur eventually purchased a beautiful home in North Denver and settled there for over 50 years.

Sadie was able to locate a long lost family member after many years of diligent searching, adding a whole new family to the Escobedo’s and creating closure to a long family mystery.

Sadie loved to Crochet, Draw and paint. She was a talented singer, played guitar and piano and loved the outdoors and often performed for many who would hear and gather during camping and fishing outings.Sadie was a strong and smart woman but a bit shy, her character was funny, witty and entertaining once you got her going.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Arthur Luis Gallegos and oldest daughter Sharon Louise Velasquez, Father Joe Valerio Escobedo and Mother Cora Maclovia Eames and Brother’s Toby Escobedo and Albert Escobedo and Sisters Viola Escobedo, Nancy Garcia and Baby Lucy Escobedo

Sadie is survived by her 2 Children Shelly Aragon and Joe Gallegos and wife Josie Gallegos plus

10 Grand Children, 31 Great Grandchildren and 9 Great Great Grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces and cousins and relatives.
