Shirley Jean Nichols

Shirley Jean Nichols (Boulden), age 89 passed away on Friday, December 5,2025 in Northglenn, Colorado. Shirley was born April 12 1936 in Gunnison,Colorado to Carl and Clara Boulden. Shirley grew up in Wyoming, then moved to Denver to attend Denver School of Business. She married Floyd “Nick” Nichols July 2, 1960 in Frisco, Colorado. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage before his passing.

She is survived by, one brother Art Boulden, 3 children, Cheryl (Dennis) Kilker, Wayne (Shirley) Nichols, Gary (Lorraine) Nichols, seven grandchildren, Matthew (Kassi) Kilker, Kristel (Ray) Nichols, Ashley (Richard) Nichols, Ryan (Brittnee) NIchols, Chad (Paige) Nichols, Amy Nichols, Vila Soundara, ten great grandchildren, Kashleigh Kilker, Ryleigh Kilker, Ainsleigh Kilker, Kiara Nichols,Shalee Nichols, McKayla Soundara, Kai Nichols, Tavion Nichols, Peyton Nichols, Ryder Nichols, and eight step grandchildren.

Shirley worked at Lutheran Hospital for 20 years. She then went to Rose Medical Center, where she worked as a secretary in the Physical Therapy Department for 25 years, she retired in 2010.

Shirley volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader and cookie coordinator for many years. She loved spending time with family and friends, going out to eat and taking card making classes.

Visitation 11:00 - 12:00PM on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Olinger Highland Chapel. Funeral services 12:00 PM Monday, December 15, Olinger Highland Chapel, Interment Olinger Highland Cemetery. A reception will follow the Interment.
