

A Funeral Service will be held for Shirley on September 24th, 2012, 10:00AM at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery in Thornton, Colorado. A Catered Reception hosted by the family will follow the Interment Service.
Shirley Ann Taylor was born on July 3, 1944 in Stamps Arkansas, the first child of four children, to George Bishop and Florence Kendrick. The family relocated to Denver, CO.
Shirley attended Denver Public Schools and graduated from Manual High School in 1962. She continued her education at Sterling Junior College in Sterling, CO. While in college, Shirley met Andrew Taylor and was united in holy matrimony in 1964. To this union, two children were born, one son, Kenneth Eric, and one daughter, La Shon Rena.
Shirley worked at Samsonite Corporation for thirty-four years and was a proud union steward for Local 724. Shirley enjoyed bowling, sports, and she was an avid reader. She also volunteered her time with the seniors in her community. She provided them with transportation to appointments, cooked meals for them and was a wonderful friend.
She leaves behind her son Kenneth Eric Taylor and her daughter La Shon Rena Vincent. Also, five grandchildren: “Number 1” – Amber Marie (Beavers) Taylor, “Number 2” – Courtney Marie Brisco, “Number 3” – Brianna Marie Vincent, “Number 4” - Kaeyla Marie Taylor, and “Number 5” – Elijah Sanford. Shirley leaves behind two great-grandchildren: “Great Number 1” - Sydney Marie Beavers and “Great Number 2” - Elijah “John-John” Brisco. She also leaves behind her brother Harold Ray Bishop of Houston, TX, and a host of family and friends.
She will be missed dearly.
