

Stanley H. Kapron III, 82 of Thornton, CO passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2021, after battling a long illness. Stanley is survived by his wife, Arlene (Pufahl); his sons, Kenneth and Kevin, his daughter Karen Nash; grandchildren Cory and Lauren Nash; great-grandson Sebastian; sister Diana Relinski, brother Robert (Anita) Kapron; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am, Thursday, Nov. 18 at St. Mark Parish, 3141 West 96th Ave., Westminster, CO 80031. A luncheon will be hosted in the parish hall after the funeral mass.
Stanley was born in Buffalo, NY to Stanley and Josephine (Stalica) Kapron Jr. on April 15, 1939. Growing up on the east side of Buffalo, he play baseball with neighborhood boys and schoolmates who became life-long friends. He graduated from Bishop Ryan High School in 1957.
He served in the Army National Guard prior to marrying his wife Arlene in 1963. Stan and Arlene celebrated 58 years of marriage in August 2021.
Stanley worked at United Airlines as a Customer Service Representative and Service Director. Following a job opportunity with United, Stan and Arlene moved the family to Westminster, CO in 1978. He enjoyed his work at the airline and established many endearing and enduring friendships with his co-workers. He retired in 1996.
Stanley and Arlene enjoyed cruising and traveling with one another and with friends. Stanley enjoyed sports, especially golf. He played many courses across the country, but his favorite was Singing Hills in San Diego, CA. Stanley loved to play cards: pinnacle, poker, cribbage, gin-rummy, etc. He especially loved playing cards and games with his grandchildren. He was an avid basketball fan-especially college basketball. And cookies…Stanley loved cookies.
Stanley was actively involved with the Knights of Columbus, Council 13131 where he became a Knight of the 4th Degree. He actively participated in the Knight’s rummage sale, breakfasts, tootsie roll drives and countless other events and found friendship and fraternity with his brother knights.
Stanley leaves behind a legacy of friendship and service to family, neighbors, and friends. He had a heart of service and above all he loved Jesus, Christ. He will be greatly missed by so many that loved him, but most especially by Arlene his wife and lifelong companion.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, and Elevations Hospice.
Stanley’s family wishes to thank family, friends, and caregivers for all their thoughts, prayers and kind gestures shown to Stanley as his life’s journey was ending.
