

He was born on March 7, 1928 in Port Huron, MI to Atilano and Julia Quezada. Raised in Longmont, CO after his family migrated, his education would halt after graduating the eighth grade from rural one-room schoolhouse.
Later in life, Tomas accepted a position as a farm-keeper for 13 years for Wanaka Farming Company in Lafayette, CO where he put down his roots.
He remained in Lafayette where he raised his children. After 35-years he retired as a truck driver for National by Products.
Tomas was a man of great faith. He became a member of the Latin American Christian Church of Lafayette. A long active member, he was known among his church-community for his Latin Gospel singing and playing piano.
Much of his retirement consisted of helping people. He frequently would volunteer to drive them to work, school, grocery stores, and doctor appointments.
His passions consisted of reading his Bible, sharing the Gospel, taking time to spend with family and friends, watching western movies, Spanish novelas, gardening and vacationing.
He is survived by four sons and their spouses: Tomas Jr. & Karin Quesada. Henry & Elaine Quesada, Abel Quesada and Samuel & Lorry Quesada; five daughters and their spouses: Julia & Donne Hernandez, Irma & Roger Lamb, Theresa & Jason Stayton, Espana & Valentin Duenas and Jessica & Kenne Stocks; 43 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren, 22 great-great grandchildren, 1 sister and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by: beloved daughter, Julie Ortiz, beloved son, Johnny Quesada, and beloved grandson, Brandon Quesada.
A funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 10:00am with a viewing at 9:00am, Olinger Highland Mortuary 10201 Grant St. Thornton, Colorado 80229.
Burial to follow immediately following service at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 520 Colliers Blvd. Erie, CO 80516.
