Tommy's career spanned many years as an Information Technologist Consultant at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. He was one of the top two graduates at Lamar in 1991. He was the President of the Blue Key Fraternity and received the Robert G. Kimble Award for Excellence.
Tommy had many passions. He was an avid golfer, an expert pool player and had acquired several unique guitars. He loved to sing. He was a member of a band in Denver, Colorado for a short time. His favorite passion was nature, he loved the mountains and everything they held. Colorado suited his free spirit. He was a fierce protector of his wife Sabrina, always guiding her through life's trials.
Survivors to mourn his passing are his wife, Sabrina Sandifer Bernard, Thornton, Colorado, father-in-law Maxie Sandifer, and mother-in-law Clara Sandifer of Crystal Beach, Texas; brother-in-law Mark (Elizabeth) Sandifer of Frisco, Texas; his mother Melva Ruth Bernard of Groves, Texas; brother, Michael (Yolanda) Bernard of Mansfield, Texas; sister's Elizabeth Keese of Groves, Texas and Nancy (Dennis) Gregory of Fannett, Texas.
