Vincent B Botsko, 71 of Firestone CO, beloved partner, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2024 at his home in Firestone, Colorado. Vince was born on November 17, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio. Ohio to the late John and Thelma Cramer and later was adopted by Joe and Linda Botsko.
Vincent grew up and attended schools in the Ohio, Colorado and Kansas area. He graduated in 5-29-1971 from Thomas-More Prep Marian High School in Hays, Kansas and attended Metropolitan State University of Denver. A dream of his was to open his own business and in 1989 he opened Spec 7 Installation. After successfully growing the business, he sold the company to IBP. He stayed on as Branch Manager from 2004-2011. After only a couple of years, he also took on more responsibilities adding an Assistant Regional Manager role for IBP from 2006-2011. In 2011, he handed over the daily responsibilities of running Spec 7 Insulation and helped create the role of a Regional Estimator. As that role developed, he not only supported the larger project estimating and sales for multiple locations but also began teaching branch estimators how to use the OST Estimating Software. He loved to mentor and teach the OST software to the employees who wanted to learn. Vince remained in the Installation business his entire working career until retiring in February 2024.
Family and friends were extremely important in his life. He enjoyed flying his airplane and hanging out with other pilots at the Erie Airport where he kept his own airplane, a Piper Comanche. After changing his role with IBP, he took the time to get his instrument ratings and commercial license. Flying was his passion. Seeing death as the end of life is like seeing the horizon as the end of the sky. He is now flying on a journey into a horizon we cannot see.
Vincent is survived by his devoted partner of 18 years, Debbie Breese; loving children; Brian Botsko Denver CO, Brad Botsko Denver, CO, Elisabeth (Beth) Botsko Cheynne WY, and Brent Botsko South Dakota; he has 8 grandchildren, Aria, Kiley, Axel, Porter, Adriauna, Gavin, Jadeyn, Lillian Bonnie, Alexis, David and Mary; siblings, Judy Schaaf (Ernie), Bobbie (John) Kauwenaole; as well as many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends. In addition, Vincent was preceded in death by his father John (Thelma) Cramer and adopted mother Linda (George) Meyerholz and brother Ronald Botsko.
He would love to be remembered for his humor, heartfelt silly stories that celebrate the man Vince was; a kind sole always ready with a smile and a smart A$$ comment to make you feel loved in his own special way.
He will be missed dearly and we will always love and miss him until we meet again.
