

Barbara Irene Schultz was born February 12, 1931, in Montana to Don and Belva Hughes. While Barbara was born in Montana, she spent much of her life in Oregon. Barbara met Richard Schultz through his brother, and soon married Richard Schultz when she was 19 years old, and together they raised their two daughters Cindy and Debbie. Barbara and Richard shared an active social life and spent most of their free time entertaining their close circle of friends. Barbara was a proud homemaker and a wonderful cook, her Swiss steak dinner was a household favorite! After Richard passed away, Barbara found comfort in a long-time friend who had also been widowed, Ole Kittleson. She and Ole spend their later years enjoying one another’s company until his passing.
Barbara loved dogs and had a canine companion in the household for most of her lifetime. She was especially fond of Chihuahuas! She also loved antiquing and collected vintage lady head vases, she was also a helping hand in starting her daughter’s business. She was a creative woman and found a love of ceramics and knitting. She famously liked her “Bling Bling”! She loved to sparkle and collected sparkling jewelry and shimmering blouses.
Barbara will be remembered for her creativity, humor, and sparkling sense of fashion.
Barbara is survived by her daughters Cindy Murray and Debbie Becker; Grandsons Jason and Justin Monaghan; and her Great Grandchildren Mia and Jordyn.
