Carl Webb Townsend

Carl is predeceased by his parents, Carl Mack Townsend and Sibyl Brame Townsend Warren; his brother, Timothy Lee Townsend; his wife Sandy Booze Townsend; and 4 of his beloved cats:

Amber, Fluffy, Joshua, & Shadow.

Carl is survived by his sister, Grace Townsend Merchant and her husband, Paul Merchant. Mr Townsend is also survived by his sister-in-law, Carol Tyler Townsend; nephews,Luther Heinrich, Tyler Townsend and his niece, Christy Townsend; as well as grandnIeces, Erica, Maddie, Alexis, Leah and and a grandnephew, Michael.

Carl Webb Townsend was a successfully published author. His works include: "In Pursuit of Healing", "Catching the Wind", "Beyond Illusion", "Discovering Your City", and "Breaking Light:Birth of a Hero". Additionally, he wrote and published many books for Microsoft; including books on dBase and Access.

Carl brought his unique version of joy and fun to everyone who encountered him. He stayed true to his values throughout life in all he did: faith, intellectual curiosity, pursuit of happiness (in travel and relationships), and engineering creativity. He faced the devastating loss of his wife, Sandy, too early in her own life, and his own long recovery from the paralyzing illness, Guillain-Barre, with determination and optimism.

He will be greatly missed by his family and the wonderful staff at Marquis Assisted Living who grew to enjoy his sense of humor and cooperative spirit. Rest in Peace Carl Webb Townsend, your life will live-on in our cherished memories of you.
