

Mr. Blossom was born and raised in Massachusetts. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Marietta College, enlisted in the US Navy and went on an ice breaker to Antarctica prior to earning a master’s degree from Brown University.
Mr. Blossom was a gifted history teacher and taught Middle School and High School in Massachusetts and New York. He earned numerous awards and accolades including Fulbright grants to Mexico and India (declined), and 2 MDEA grants for post graduate study at the University of Colorado and San Jose State University. After leaving teaching, Mr. Blossom became a businessman and an active Rotarian.
Mr. Blossom lived in Lake Oswego for 15 years and was a member of the 50+ Advisory Board. A strong proponent of healthy living, Mr. Blossom ate all natural foods and jogged daily in to his 70s.
Mr. Blossom married Patricia Pendergast in 1969 and was a loving husband and father for the next 43 years. Survived by his beloved Patricia, Mr. Blossom was preceded in death by his daughter Stacy. He is additionally survived by his son Thomas, grandson Jackson and sister Carolyn.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on June 30, 2012 at Young's Funeral Home in Tigard, OR
