

with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Allen Nordseth. Gary, aged 69, passed away on July 9, 2023, in Portland, Oregon. Born on July 8, 1954, in the great city of Las Vegas, Nevada, to his parents Duane and Marion Nordseth.
Gary was a man of deep devotion and unwavering love for his family. In August 1983, he married his beloved wife, Joyce Bierly. Gary was a loving father to his sons, Matthew, Kevin, and Travis. His presence in their lives was a source of strength and inspiration.
Raised in Pocatello, Idaho, Gary developed an appreciation for the wonders of nature. Throughout his life he had many cat companions, he also loved his collection of guns and his fondness for flannel was a testament to his down-to-earth nature. Gary especially loved the great outdoors. Whether he was exploring the the ocean as an avid scuba diver, pursuing his passion for amateur gold prospecting, or connecting with fellow enthusiasts through his ham radio, he embraced life's adventures with unwavering enthusiasm.
Gary's pursuit of knowledge led him to Idaho State University. After graduation, his dedication and hard work paved the way for a successful career. Gary made significant contributions during his tenure at Tektronix, Z-Technology, Welch Allyn, and Phoseon Technology, leaving a mark on his professional colleagues and the industry as a whole.

Gary is survived by his wife Joyce; his sons Matthew, Kevin and Travis; his siblings Richard Nordseth of Idaho and Shirley Whitworth of Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents Duane and Marion Nordseth and his son Brian Michael Nordseth.
