Geraldine Gerry Teresa Moe

Geraldine was born in The Bronx, N.Y. to Thomas and Genevieve Bergan. Gerry graduated from St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic High School in 1948, enjoying swimming and working as a lifeguard. In 1954, she met and married Donald Moe, stationed in New York following his tour of duty as a Marine in the Korean War.

In 1956 they moved to Mt. Vernon, Washington for two years, then to their current residence in Oregon. While her children were in grade school, Gerry sold Avon Products as a 'hobby' and enjoyed participating on a women's bowling league. Later she worked at Renner's Bar & Grill in Multnomah Village as a waitress and bartender for twenty two years. Upon their retirement, Don and Gerry enjoyed travelling in their motorhome and spending the winter months in Apache Junction, Arizona for twelve years. Gerry cherished family gatherings, board games, crocheting and living life to its fullest with her closest friends and family. Known for her zest in life, she will be missed, but never forgotten.

Gerry is survived by her loving husband; son, Donald Moe, Jr. (Becky); daughter, Keri Jacobs (RIck); siblings, Loretta Hain, William, John and Robert Bergan; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Donald and Thomas Bergan.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Young's Funeral Home in Tigard at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the charity of your choice.
