

Harvey Allen Shore, 75 of Tigard, Oregon passed away on June 1, 2018. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on July 15, 1942 to Louis and Ann Shore. Harvey enlisted in the Navy at the age of 17 and served from July 1959 to May 1963. He was stationed out of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii as a Radar Equipment Operator. He later received from the University of Oregon a Bachelor Degree of Business Administration and a Master of Science. Post his college education he met his wife, Betty Jo Gasser while both teaching at Freemont Jr. High School in Roseburg, OR. They later married on March 8, 1975 in Drain, Oregon. They welcomed their first born Lindsay in June of 1977 and their second child, Kimberly in June of 1979. Harvey’s successful career lead him in many different paths from teaching to becoming his own boss and owning multiple different business entities throughout Oregon. He was a member of the Shipmates Association affiliated with the prior naval ship he worked on called the U.S.S. O’Bannon. Harvey was a devoted father and husband and had a passion for his work, watching movies, keeping up with current news & sporting events. Harvey is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Shore, his children Lindsay R Dixon and Kimberly L. Shore, his grandchildren Ariel L. Dixon and Benjamin M. Dixon and his sister, Gail R. Wainstein.
