Jim was born in North Hollywood, California, on December 8, 1928 and passed away in Portland, Oregon, on March 23, 2010. He served our country, bravely and proudly with the Navy. While in the Navy, and for years after, he studied engineering. He made a career of engineering, frequently designing new equipment, and at the end of his career, working in aerospace. Jim's love for design carried over into his hobbies. He was well known for his woodworking crafstmanship, as well as his cross stitching. In fact he and his love, JoAnn, entered, and won, several awards at state fairs. Jim also loved to golf and travel. He and JoAnn spent two years traveling the country recently. Jim was a wonderful father, and man. He will be missed deeply by many.
