Janet Kaye Scott

Janet (Jan) K. Scott, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away from endometrial cancer surrounded by her loving family on April 21st 2025. Born and raised in the Coquille, Myrtle Point, and Sixes areas of the Oregon coast. She then attended high school in Bend, Oregon. She later built her home with her husband, Steve, in Tigard, Oregon, continuing a life filled with warmth, laughter, and love.

She is survived by her husband, Steven Scott; her six children, Leigh, Karmen, Nolan, Shellia, Sara, Lindsay; eight cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth, Millie, Ayden, Anna, Ziah, Ryan, Orlin and Langley; and her six siblings, Julie, Jean, Joe, Jackie, Jamie and Jennifer, who all carry her spirit forward in their lives.

Janet had a rare and beautiful gift for bringing people together — through her delicious meals, her joyful spirit, her love of good music, good company, and her ever-present, rosy cheeks. She was a true friend to many, a woman whose kindness, generosity, and beautiful soul touched countless lives. Her legacy of community, joy, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed, but her light continues to shine in the memories, stories and community she leaves behind.
