Born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, John graduated from Loyal Sock High School. He was a proud United States Marine, serving in the Vietnam War before being honorably discharged in 1968. John went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in accounting from California Polytechnic State University. He was married to Sandra Eileen Baltazar Lomison on July 3, 2006.
John had a career as a tax accountant for Lomison Business Services. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Morro Bay, California, and the Morro Bay Chamber of Commerce. He had a passion for community service and causes that supported the U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam veterans. He also enjoyed a choral music ministry.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Lomison; son, Todd Lomison; daughter, Elizabeth Lomison Huddleston; grandchildren, Kyle Lomison, Alexander Huddleston, and Jack Huddleston; and siblings, Sharon Lomison Sprinkle, Tom Lomison, and Leigh Lomison Burchanoski.
He was preceded in death by sister, Lori Lomison Lovell; mother Dorothy Hall Lomison and father, John Lomison Sr.
