

Margaret Schulz Wolf was born at home on January 19, 1925 in New England, North Dakota to Joseph and Ann Schulz. Margaret was one of fourteen children. Her brothers were Aloys, Anton, Nick, Peter, Alfred, Theodore and Adam. Her sisters were Katherine, Clara, Elizabeth, Magdalene, Mary and Rose.
She lived in a time when children went to school, came home, and helped with the many chores that had to be done on the farm. Sports and games were made up and played on the farm with her many brothers and sisters. Children at this time were fortunate to attend eight years of school. Margaret attended school through the eighth grade.
Margaret married William Lewis Wolf at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New England, North Dakota on November 20, 1945. They had six children; four sons, Dennis, Victor, Dale and Leon and two daughters, Wilma and Judy. Margaret is survived by all of her children except for Judy who passed away in July of 2007. Margaret and William had nine grandchildren, Aaron, Martin, Justin, Ian, Ky, Amber, Russel, Derek and Michelle. In addition they had five great grandchildren, Sydney, Austin, Travis, Trey and Theo.
Margaret was primarily a homemaker. She worked seasonally in the canneries in Yakima, Washington, worked as a seamstress making hospital gowns and coverup garmets for clinic patients ,worked for several years at a home interior store in Sherwood, Oregon, and sold Tupperware for years to get out and meet people and to earn a little extra income.
Her hobbies included playing Bingo, Card Games and most of all Polka dancing. Vacations included going on a Caribbean cruise and a trip to Florida for a Tupperware convention. She went on many campouts with family and friends.
Margaret was a member of the Holy Redeemer Church in Yakima for twenty three years and St. Anthony Catholic Church in Tigard, Oregon for forty years.
She lived independently in an apartment in Tigard until diabetes forced her to move into the Summerfield Retirement Community for the last few years of her life. Margaret spent Christmas Eve with her family playing cards while having a great time. She passed away on Christmas morning.
A Funeral Mass was held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Tigard on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 11 am. A graveside service with burial at the St. Anthony Cemetery followed and then a reception at the church.
