Nora was raised in Lake Oswego with her parents, Warren and Leona McCart , and her
6 siblings, sisters Virginia Silver, Lois Cook, Grace Applewhite and brothers Warren Jr.,
Donald and Larry McCart. She spent her school years in Lake Oswego and later worked as a
keypunch operator.
She met her husband, Ron, at work, and were married in 1962 and made their home in Lake Oswego. They had two children, Jeffrey and Lisa and after they were school age, she worked at the Lake Oswego school district for many years.
Nora retired with Ron in 1992 and moved to Tigard, and enjoyed traveling and cruising for
many years. She was very proud of her children and the lives they have chosen, and
thoroughly enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren when they were young and loved their
company as they grew older.
She is survived by her husband, Ron, son Jeffrey and daughter Lisa Petersen and grandchildren
Matigan and Cole Baker.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Cook farm in Stafford on September 20.
