

Robert “Bob” Louis Bardsley was born in Portland, Oregon on August 21, 1950 to Louis and Marguerite Bardsley. He is survived by his son Robert Matthew Bardsley and daughter-in-law Stacy and two grandchildren Brook (7) and Vincent (4) who reside in Spokane, Washington. Bob is also survived by his three sisters: Beverly Baltzell, Barbara Malsbury, Virginia Andersen and brother-in-law Eric Baltzell.
Growing up, Bob enjoyed many activities such as surfing, playing baseball, playing in a band, going to concerts, and car racing at Laguna Seca Raceway. He graduated from Piedmont Hills High School in San Jose in 1968. After high school Bob worked for FMC in San Jose and married Linda Morris, they later had a son- Robert Matthew.
After moving to Oregon, Bob worked for IPM as a salesman and worked with his father selling automotive parts throughout the Northwest. Later Bob worked for Fred Meyer holding many different positions throughout different departments, such as grocery cashier, ordering, clerking, bakery and building services, until he retired.
Bob loved the outdoors. He especially enjoyed camping and fishing with his son and friends in large lakes for trout and the Nestucca River for steelhead. He was a big fan of football, baseball, basketball and hockey- which he introduced to his son Matt. He attended as many games as he could. He always looked forward to his annual trip to either Reno or Las Vegas. Bob was also loved to read historical fiction, watching old movies, and watching “The Price is Right”. However, Bob’s biggest love was his family.
He was proud to be a Bardsley and loved everybody. Included in his large family are his 4 nephews, 7 nieces, one of which is Julie Marcotte, his God-daughter and his 32 great-nieces and nephews. In addition he had numerous cousins located across the east to west coast. Bob had several close friends and was especially close to Brad Bowman and his son Stephen, with home he shared an apartment for many years.
He will be missed by many.
