Steven and Lucy Manners

Lucy was born and raised in El Paso Texas. She moved to Oregon during World War II where she met her husband Steve. She was a homemaker and raised three children. Lucy was a caring loving wife and mother. She is survived by husband, Steven, brothers, Roberto and Carlos, children, Peggy, Steve and Patty, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John Fisher Catholic Church in S.W. Portland at 12pm on Saturday, November 24, 2012. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Signature Hospice or to St. Vincent de Paul at St. John Fisher Church.

Steve was born in Pasadena, California and raised in Barstow, California. He moved to Oregon during World War II where he met his wife Lucy. Steve and Lucy raised three children. He worked for General Motors for thirty five years. He was a founding and longtime member of the United Auto Workers Union Local 492. Steve’s wife Lucy passed away on November 17, 2012. Steve is survived by children, Peggy, Steve and Patty, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A funeral Mass was held for both Steve and Lucy at St. John Fisher Catholic Church on November 24, 2012. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Insights Teen Parent Program or St. Vincent de Paul at St. John Fisher Church.
