She was born in Peshawar, Pakistan on August 14th, 1943.

Surryia Akhtar graduated from Missionary High School in Gujarat, Pakistan and received certification from Government College for Women in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.

She was married to Mohuddin Akhtar Rao on January 29th, 1966.

Surryia Akhtar had passion for Home decoration and remodeling, gardening and fruit tree plantation, personal clothes design, household-ware collection, crystal glassware collection. She also had a passion for home architectural design, floor plans and was a builder of 2 RCC homes in Pakistan. She loved reading Urdu novels and watch Urdu movies. She was a frequent traveler for 25 years to well-known European cities, Such as: Paris, London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Geneva , Frankfurt, Beijing China, Tokyo, Far East: Bangkok, Singapore, Dubai, Jeddah, Nairobi.

She has survived by her children, Rehan Akhtar (Son), Rumana Akhtar (Dtr), Hamdan Akhtar (Son), Sufian Akhtar (Son), Shahab Akhtar (Son); grandchildren, Jasmine Elif Akhtar, Sage Surryia Akhtar, Shahrukh Akhtar Mc Donald and brothers and sisters, ZulfiqarAli Khan (Khan Gull), Malik Shuja Mobine Khan (Bobby), Shagufta Yasmine(Baa), Ghazala Yasmine(Cookoo).

Funeral arrangements were held at 10:30am, on April 25th, 2017, at Young’s Funeral Home in Tigard, Oregon

Burial held April 25th, 2017at Muslim Burial Ground: 6815 SW West Hills, Corvallis Oregon 97333, 83 miles South of Portland Or.

TRIBUTE TO MY ADORED SURRYIA AKHTAR

Tribute from the core of my soul. Inside my relationship of more than five decades, Surryia Akhtar was a charismatic personality, blessed with an extraordinary strength of character and resilience. A fearless personage with positive spiritual energy .Surryia Akhtar was beyond a traditional wife to a husband. She was a special person and spirit to my successes and a strength to support my failures and misfortunes. She spent her life in giving to all in need, friends ,family members and even to those who were antagonist.

Surryia Akhtar continued to be a devout mother during the entire spectrum of her life. Among her female friend she earned a title of "mother care". Surryia Akhtar placed the needs of her children before her own .Over four and half decades ,Surryia Akhtar establish a residential foothold where ever the children moved, even ten thousand miles distance between continents did not prevent her fervor.

Her express life style cadence whisked away more than five decades without awareness. Surryia Akhtar's persona by nature was objective, she did not compromise the day's or future undertakings by deferment. She always walked an extra mile to accomplish her goals. Achievements thrived her and letdowns did not discourage. A review of five decades of our relationship clearly brings out consistency of achievements and accomplishment, that shepherd elevated milieu of life and living for herself and her family.

There was only one distinguishable unexpected image of inundation during 1973.During this period of 12 months Surryia Akhtar, as a young mother was nursing four children: a three years, 2 years and six month old twins. She single-handedly, royally endured that one year. The strength of her belief, faith and prayers, opened the window to the world travel, boundless privileges, that was followed by steep progressive life and living.

Surryia Akhtar's health orientated life style and personal care , blessed her with good health. She was twenty years younger at any age. Her first hospitalization was at 70 years of age that happened during a pleasure drive in Salem Oregon jurisdiction, on May 16,2013, at 8:30.. This incidence of a natural health decline placed her into an epoch of black period.

The notable disappointments during her healthful five decades were outcome of human deception, mainly greed. Her God gifted blessed protection was trounced during four years of protected class status (Complete dependency due to Physical disability) May 16,2013 to April 24,2017.This period was marred by human doctrine of micro discrimination at the hands of trusted human care givers in medical institutions.

Her passing away leaves my person in an emotional vacuity. Allah(God) bless her soul and place her in heaven for eternal journey, Aameen (Amen)
