After a long battle on May 14, 2012, Alvin T. Church died peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Alvin was the loving husband of Mary Lease Church; devoted father of Eric Church, Laurie Booth and her husband Michael, Amy Anderson and her husband David, Denny Wedekind and his wife Amy, and Kristin Palmer and her husband Brent; dear brother of Patricia Shatley, and Ruby Gail Church; Cherished grandfather of Miles Palmer, Natalie Palmer, Louis Anderson; Dear friend of Deborah D’Elia and Jackie Evans; Uncle of John Shatley and his wife Dawn and his son Jack, and Joel Shatley.
The family will receive friends in the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc., 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. Joseph Church, 101 Church Lane, Cockeysville, MD 21030 on Friday, May 18 at 10AM. Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be directed in Mr. Church’s memory to Defenders of Animal Rights, 14412 Old York Road, Phoenix, MD 21131.
