Barbara Anna Meyers

Barbara Anna Meyers, age 82, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 27, 2025. She was the loving daughter of the late John Joseph and Agnes Margaret Meyers; dear sister of the late Margaret "Peggy" Gertrude Spacek and her husband the late Donald Paul Spacek; cherished aunt of Paula Marie Lauenstein and her husband Carville, Barbara June Zagurski, Jennifer Joy Braun and the late Kimberly Jo Spacek; treasured great aunt of Julia Lauenstein Eckert and her husband Bernie, Blair Kimberly Sanders and her husband Tim, Christian Carlos Sanchez, Luke Ivan Zagurski and Jazmin Joy Sanchez; great great aunt of Penelope Grace Sanders, Jolene Faye Sanders, Omar Valentino Sanchez and Jaxson Paul Sanchez.

Throughout her life Barbara was a devoted and active member of Back River United Methodist Church, where she found strength, community, and peace in her faith. Her unwavering commitment to her church family was a testament to her deep spiritual beliefs and her desire to serve others. A proud Marine veteran, she not only served her country with honor but carried a deep, unshakeable love for the United States throughout her life. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, whether it was spending hours solving puzzles, expressing her creativity through coloring, or sharing laughter and love with her family. Her devotion to her country was matched only by the fierce love she had for her family, whom she cherished deeply. Barbara was the heart of her family, always putting others first, and her legacy of service, patriotism, and boundless love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
