Suddenly on March 15, 2011, Brandon Todd Steimel; loving son of Harold L. and Beverly L. Steimel; beloved brother of Tony S. Steimel; cherished uncle of Colin A., Amanda B., and Blaine A. Steimel; and very close friend of CeCe; also survived by many loving aunts, an uncle and cousins.

The family will receive friends in the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc. 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, MD 21093 on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, March 19 at 9:30AM. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Brandon’s name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 43025 Baltimore, MD 21236.

Gathering the Perspective

I look to a song,

and I look to a poem.

I listen for ideas

that describe our friendship;

Authentic and poetic words

speak of my love with you.

They stand to say everything

I might have said. But perhaps

I could have honored you,

With something of my own creation.

When left to tarry amongst

the girls of this world,

I am one to carelessly

pass them by. I forsake

creativity, innovation, and

charity; It’s true. I’m not fully

sure how to give love to you.

I haven’t enough pride and comfort,

And it leaves my goodwill

a barren waste.

I haven’t earned faith in love

nor the capacity to make it.

So I let my benevolence ride

the designs of poem and song;

It helps me define our status

and illustrate our affairs.
