George G. Harvey Sr.

George G. “Boone” Harvey, Sr. died at his home on February 29, 2012. George was a WWII veteran, serving in the Army. He worked a as Construction Superintendent for the James Keelty Company for thirty years. He was a private airplane pilot and loved to fly. He was famous in his family for his cooking. Some of his specialties were crab soup, "dough boys," and extensive Sunday suppers. He loved to be outdoors camping with his family and he truely enjoyed crabbing, fishing, and gardening. George had an incredible sense of humor and loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. He adored his grandchildren and was likewise adored by them, who called him "D-dad."

George was the loving husband of Georgeanna M. Harvey; devoted father of Ada Tiralla (John), George G. Harvey, Jr., Lily Lanphear (Steve), Susan Harvey, Deborah Spring and Andrea Winner (Tom); George was one of nine children; he has a surviving sister, Doris Eckerel (Gus); cherished grandfather of Arres, Jessica, Harry, Andrew, Wesley, Breanna, Gillian, Alexis, Amanda, Joel and Mason; great grandfather of Grace; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends in the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc., 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road), Timonium, MD 21093 on Monday, March 5 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9PM. A funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Tuesday, March 6 at 2PM. Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
