Dad, there will never be enough or the right words to express how much you mean to me, Brian and the kids.

Some of my favorite and craziest memories include you and I...From my only memory of Disney World with you and I in the race car (that was the beginning of my race car driving days); you chasing Mom around doing “lady lips”; supporting me throughout school and being there when I received my Bene Merenti Award; to the moment before I walked down the aisle to marry Brian and you stopped me and said, “ Chris, you know it is not to late to change your mind.”; Our debates over politics; You walking 3 miles because you JUST had to have that Sonic Cherry Limeade; the wine-inspired conversations on the deck where you shared your wisdom and life lessons with Brian.... and not to forget the infamous snow mobile ride down the “toilet bowl” with Brian in Breckenridge.

Then the first time you held Hunter, Madison & Logan; sneaking off to take them to McDonalds for milkshakes and being present for the girls’ dance recitals and Hunter’s home run over the fence in Cooperstown.

To more recently, when our talks discussed your deep faith in God, your love for your family  and the journey that you knew you were on but were hesitant to talk about for fear of upsetting us. 

A hole has been created that cannot be filled. I miss you more than I could ever express but am filled with a peace knowing that you are up in heaven. You are with God doing the thing that you do best.... taking care of your family and friends.

You have instilled in me to serve those in need... and I strive to teach that to Hunter, Madison and Logan... so that we may honor you on a daily basis.

There will never be enough seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks or years... we will always love you and miss you.

I remember every time he came out to Colorado to see us he would alway play with me and Logan. One of the things i loved most is how much he cared about other people and how he always did “ lady lips”.  whenever someone need anything he would never hesitate to help. I am going to miss him so much but he will forever be in my heart 

Pop Pop

 I will always love you and you will always be in my heart. You will always inspire me to do what’s right and serve people. You made a lot off people’s life much better. You were always happy even when things weren’t going right. You will always be in our hearts.      
                

Pop Pop,
I loved spending time with you. You taught me so many things like how to drive the lawn mower. Every time we would visit we would go to McDonald’s and get milkshakes. You will always be missed and I know you are watching over us. Love you.

One of the most selfless individuals I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet.  Always devoted and engaged with his family as much as anyone could possibly ever be. He will always be in our hearts and so blessed that he will forever be a part of leading me and my family.

There is no amount of words that I can share that will tell the story of your life and the impact you've not only had on me and our family, but to so many of those lives you touched throughout your life. 

I use the picture below as I feel it symbolizes your time to rest, your legacy you leave in our hands. This is not good bye, but a standing ovation. As we mourn, we celebrate even more for who you were, who you still are, and what you have left for us to grow.

You will always be an inspiration to me and truly shaped who I am as a man, as a father to Jackson and Husband to Stephanie. So stand, tip your cap to the standing ovation and legacy that is your friends, your family, your life. We thank you, we love you, we miss you, and we celebrate you.

Hi Dad,

Putting feelings into words is super tough for me. I think sharing moments will help express what you mean to me. 

Showing photos after the Philly half marathon and while I’m focused on how sweaty I look you decide it’s an amazing photo and want a copy for your desk. Why I ask would you want such an ugly picture of me? You said because I was passing several guys and looked strong not gross. You always pushed us girls to not limit ourselves in what we can achieve.

When I ran my first marathon it was one of the hardest things I've ever done. Marathons are not fun to watch and it involved using the metro so I wasn’t expecting anyone to be there. When I crossed the finish line and you guys were there it made the day complete. 

When Irnie passed you sent that letter from him to us. Only a fellow animal lover could truly understand my connection to him.

Looking back on all the times you guys came down for the farmers market. You would strike up conversations with the vendors and shoppers, chatting with them while we shopped. You were happy connecting with people and it showed. I remember the time eating at Jimmy’s you bought the officers’ breakfast on our way out. And all the other times you bought random people things. Never needing kudos. Just happy to share. 

Always there, always supportive.

Even though I miss you, I know you are here with us. And because we both love music...

You lived a life for others.  You gave us so many special memories.  Your kindness and generosity is endless and will never be forgotten.  You were a father to Ann Marie and treated her like your own because that is who you are.  Even though Abigail did not have a chance to meet you, she will know who her Pop Pop was, how you lived, and the effect you had on those around you.  We miss you so much.  Thank you for everything.

Dad, I still can’t believe you are gone. I think of you each and every day and keep hoping to wake from this nightmare. You and Mom were the most selfless and loving parents I’ve come to know in my 35 years and I feel blessed and privileged to be called your daughter. You were a hero, a help and a heart to all that had the pleasure of knowing you. I will try my very best to emulate the good that you bestowed upon others and the bravery you had shown up until you took your very last breath...heaven is a happier and better place with you up there rubbing your belly and offering to buy everyone a sandwich.

 Dear George. We walked through life together for 46 years. We been there for each other and laughed and cried together through good times and when things didn’t go as planned     When I look back at our life together on all the special things we shared we have some great memories.   You are the most giving man I know.  Never wanting anything for yourself just for your family and others. I know you are in gods hands and watching over us but I miss you more than words can say. “Because someone we love is in heaven, there is a little piece of heaven in our home.” I sure will miss your constant smile and beautiful soul, but I know you are here with us everyday. I am honored to have known such a wonderful man, one who has the biggest most giving heart. From the day I met you I knew what was most important to you, family and well of course food. You and Mrs. Carol have raised such a beautiful family. The dedication that you have shown them all has carried over into your sons life as he treats Jackson and myself like gold, just as you did him. We are all so proud of you and will carry you with us always.  Love you

 It's difficult to put into words how much you mean to our family and how grateful and honored I am to be your son.  Margaret Truman once said, "It's only when you grow up and step back from him - or leave him for your own home - it's only then that you can measure his greatness and fully appreciate it."  As a child, I never truly understood or appreciated the sacrifices you made, but I was observing every action and how you chose to live your life.  Your selflessness, boundless generosity, compassion for others, and love for our family are unrivaled.  As a husband and father, I now understand why you did everything that you did.  I also realize that you never viewed your actions as sacrificing what you wanted.  You wanted our family to be happy and live our best lives, and there was no deterrent that would stop you from seeing this through.  Your heart was so full of love that nothing else mattered.  You were the most powerful man alive, and the impact you have left on ever single person with which you've crossed paths will never die.  You were a great teacher even when you weren't trying to be, and you have inspired me to be the man I am today.  I'm eternally grateful for you, Dad.  I love you.

 Mr. George,
When I reflect back on the memories of you, I think of a kind and gentle soul. You were always one of the best! Your family and everyone around you looked up to you with love, respect and admiration. I believe you will always be here with us. Here in the memories that have been made, friendships we forged, here with us in the children and grandchildren you have helped to create and grow, you are here with us now as we are, together as one. Knowing you for 10 years has felt like my entire life. I’ve gotten a glimpse of the man that raised my husband and made him who he is today. You created a wonderful family that I will love and cherish forever. Your word was your bond and your love was your strength. I will forever hold you close to my heart. 


Mr. George, 
  You have always treated me like a son from the start. I will miss the conversations we would have about everything from current events and politics to history and home improvement. I have never met a more selfless man who truly would go out of his way to help anyone in need. You have raised an amazing family, been an inspiration to many, and a role model for your children and grandchildren to follow, you have given everything and never once asked for something back. You can rest easy knowing your legacy will live on through your children and grandchildren. You are missed and loved, thank you for everything.

Today, along with many friends and family we buried our dear friend, George. You loved your family as much as they loved you, you loved life to the fullest.  Saying goodbye to you today was so hard, but in death as in life, you were surrounded with all your family and many friends.  From the bagpipes to the folding of our great American flag the day was yours.

I have been friends with you and Carol for so many years. Even before Andrew was born, I remember we always laughed when I would tell you no more kids, 6 was enough.

Among the many memories I have of you, this one comes to mind. My youngest son Mark was in his first year at Calvert Hall.  Mark and his friend drove to Johns Hopkins hospital to visit a friend who had been diagnosed with Leukemia. I was worried about these two young boys driving downtown by themselves at night. I let the fear go as I thought it was such a nice thing they wanted to do.  That night when they left the hospital, they could not find the car. Feeling someone had stolen it, Mark said to his friend “we have to find a Policeman they will help”, those days no one had a cell phone.  They proceeded to walk down the road praying all the way they could find someone.  As they walked alone in the dark, low and behold walking in front of them was a policeman.  The fear left them, O wow he can help.  They called out, and the policeman turned around,  Mark proceeded to tell me the story, he said: "Mom, when that man turned around, I was so happy, it was Mr. George". He proceeded to tell George someone stole the car. George laughed at them and said “boys the car was not stolen, it was towed”. More anxiety for the two young men. George told them not to worry, he would take them to the pound and they could get the car. Not having money, George paid for the car himself and sent them on their way home.  This story is not about Mark and his friend, it about the kind, generous man we said goodbye to today.

My condolences to the family. I worked with George in the BCPD. We worked together in the homicide unit and also in the tactical unit. George was a good cop and very professional as a supervisor, and even better than that he was a good guy. 
The BCPD was better off with the likes of George Kibler.

A mentor...A true leader...Always a balanced and fair approach to every situation...And a father figure to me...You will be missed sir!!!

Dad, there is not a moment that passes by that I don’t think of you and miss you...although I may grieve, I am grateful for all that you have done for me, taught me, and raised me to be. I am who I am today because of you. I love you 💙  *you raise me up, to more than I can be*
