The Tsottles Family,
I am not sure if you will receive this or not as I just learned of Mr. Tsottles passing today. My name is Bob Eburg and Mr. Tsottles was my history teacher at Poly for 3 years. He was by far my favorite teacher. He had such a positive impact on my high school years. A B24 waist gunner who told many fabulous stories earned him the nickname Gunner Gus among his students. I am sure Mr. Tsottles has returned to his rightful place with our lord. Mr. Tsottles and not Gus because he earned the Mr. A card carrying member of the Greatest Generation.

Dear Mrs. Tsottles, in addition to my earlier condolences, I want you to know that I also have Parkinson's Disease (PD).  On April 27, I will be playing in a Putting for Parkinson's golf tournament in Summerville SC.  This benefits Parkinson's research and treatment at the Medical University of SC.  I hereby dedicate my 18 hole round to the memory of dear Gus.

I remember Mr. Tsottles well, and I remember very few teachers from high school.  I especially recall that he was a real story teller and added his own personal stories which made him such an interesting teacher.

Gus, a quiet, gentle and humble man moved on to be with our Lord. After living with Parkinson for 10 years he prepared himself for a new life. Gus' earthly candle is extinguished, but his memory lives on, in each of us.  Thank you taking time to share your kind thoughts.

Dear Mr. Tsottles was an awesome teacher and a valued advisor.  I will always remember his smile and his wisdom.  I was in his class at Forest Park High School, Class of '65.  He was the person that first told me that JFK had been shot.  He was walking down the hall from the office toward his room with tears running down his face and I ran over and asked him what was the matter.  He was such a caring man. Mr.Tsottles was a fantastic teacher of history at Poly. One of my favorites. He taught history, and he taught life as well. Just happened to see that he had passed while looking at the paper on line. He had a terrific rapport with his students. Made history engaging while relating his own experiences in WW 2. I graduated in 1979. Mr.Tsottles was one of the best. He genuinely cared about his students as people. Great teacher.
