

On Monday, September 23, 2024, Lynne Fanzone passed away. She was the beloved wife of Ron Fanzone; loving mother of Scott Hurlock and his wife Alyssa; cherished grandmother of Lily, Montanna and Haven Hurlock; dear sister of Kathy Warren, the late Howard Turner and his living wife Judy and the late Michael Turner and his living wife Jacqui; treasured aunt of Ryan , Tracey, Greg, Howie, Chris, Sauni, Todd, Nicky and Tony. Lynne is also survived by many other loving family members and friends.
Lynne was a thoughtful and kind soul, whose warmth and generosity touched everyone around her. A proud graduate of the University of Maryland in 1964, she had the unique distinction of sharing classes with the legendary puppeteer and animator Jim Henson. This creativity carried into her passion for interior design, where she transformed spaces with her keen eye for detail.
An accomplished seamstress, Lynne took great pride in her home, ensuring that every curtain was perfectly crafted. She was also a tremendous cook, known for her ability to host memorable family reunions that spanned a week, welcoming 26 loved ones and preparing meals that brought everyone together. Her desserts, especially her famous lava cakes, were legendary and will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of tasting them.
In addition to her culinary talents, Lynne was a vibrant member of her community, serving as president of her duckpin bowling league, where her competitive spirit shone through. She had a deep passion for crossword puzzles, delighting in the challenge they presented and often solving them with a playful smile. Her love for flowers was reflected in her vibrant garden beds, where she spent hours tending to her flowers and enjoyed the beauty of nature inside of the home through her houseplants. Additionally, she had a lifelong dedication to playing bridge, a game in which she truly excelled, forming lasting friendships at the card table and sharing many joyful moments with fellow players. Her kindness, creativity, and culinary skills will leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc., 10 W. Padonia Road, Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 10 AM until 11 AM at which time a Celebration of Life Service will begin.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lynne’s name to the American Cancer Society.
