

Pauline Hillary “June” Brannan, beloved mother of five children and wife of the late Robert R. Brannan, Sr., died on Tuesday, April 9, at GBMC. She was 85. Mrs. Brannan suffered from congestive heart failure and kidney disease.
Mrs. Brannan was a resident of Ruxton, MD, for a period of fifty years, and most recently resided at the Mercy Ridge Independent living facility in Timonium. She was an accomplished artist, and owner and proprietor of June’s Frame Shop in the Mount Washington area of Baltimore for over ten years. Her house and apartment were filled with her paintings.
She was also an avid gardener, and was a member of the Halten Garden Club, to which she belonged for over forty years. She attended the University of Maryland shortly after World War II, where she met her husband, Robert R. Brannan. She graduated in 1984 from the College of Notre Dame with a BA in Art History, after raising five children.
She was an avid sailor along with her husband and family and a long-time member of the Severn River Yacht Club in Annapolis. She and her family cruised and raced on the Chesapeake Bay for over forty years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Robert R. Brannan, Sr.
Survivors include her five children, Robert R. Brannan, Jr. (Debby) of Crofton, MD, John Dunham Brannan of Colonial Heights, Virginia, Patricia Brannan of Timonium, MD, Stephen Brannan (Freddie) of Chester, Virginia, and Elizabeth Hottel (Rob) of Centreville, MD, and her six granddaughters Kelsey, Katie, Erin, Sara, Emma, and Kaili.
The family will receive friends in the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc., 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, MD 21093 on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9PM. A funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Saturday, April 13 at 10:30AM. Interment Druid Ridge Cemetery.
