On Sunday, January 12, 2025, Ruth C. Shaffer went home to be with the Lord. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter F. Shaffer; loving mother of James F. Shaffer (Candy); dear Mommom of James F. Shaffer, II, Patricia C. Weber (Don), and Michael K. Shaffer (Terri); great Mommom of Morgan L. Dell, Abby C. Dell, Carolyne R. Shaffer, Isaac F. Shaffer, and Benjamin L. Shaffer; also survived by other loving family and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her 9 half siblings and parents Louis W. Hall and Minnie Meekins.
Family will receive friends at the Lemmon Funeral Home of Dulaney Valley, Inc., 10 W. Padonia Road (at York Road) Timonium, Maryland 21093 on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A Celebration of Ruth’s life will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, January 23, 2025 starting at 10 AM.
Interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 2800 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg, Maryland 21048.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions in Ruth’s name be made to Hunt’s Memorial UMC and or Farm and Natural Land Trust of York County.
