William was born in Osceola Mills, PA on September 9th, 1933, the youngest of three sons to Joseph and Elizabeth Radomsky. His formative years included the Great Depression and World War II, which he spoke of often.
He left to attend Harvard College, where he earned an AB in Psychology and a commission in the US Army through the Reserve Officers Training Corps program. William served as an artillery officer on active duty in Fort Sill, OK from 1956-58, and then as a reservist until 1962. He later attended the Wharton School of Finance, earning his MBA in 1964 as one of the top students in his class. William then led a long and distinguished career in finance, ultimately retiring as Chief Financial Officer of Commercial Credit Corporation in 1985.
William's greatest passion was his family. He was the beloved father of Eric Radomsky, Charles Radomsky, Lauren Haase, Jason Radomsky, Alexander Radomsky, and Andrew Radomsky; dear brother of the late John and Joseph Radomsky; cherished grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is also survived by his previous wives Lucinda Shaw and Elisabeth Radomsky and by his stepson James McIntyre.
Extremely active and curious, William spent much of his free time running side businesses. His ventures ranged from growing a vineyard to founding an autobody repair company. Even in retirement, he built a house and actively researched developing new commercial biofuels. William loved tinkering and working with his hands, from constant home renovations to using earth-moving equipment to build a swing set for his children. In addition, he enjoyed watching and playing sports, especially football and golf, and reading about science, anthropology and history.
