Iris D Longeway Arndt

Iris D. Arndt, age 90, of Toledo, Ohio, died December 5, 2010 at Ebied Hospice. She was born in Toledo, January 23, 1920 to Thomas and Ethel Longeway. Iris was a member of the Eastern Stars, Past Matron 1976 of May Elliott Chapter. She enjoyed going to the Chester J. Zablocki Senior Center and loved to play bingo and go gambling.

Iris was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Wilbur Newbury and Arnold Arndt; daughter, Amy Marie Newbury; son, Wayne Newbury; great-grand daughter, Melissa Kulwicki; siblings, Melvin, George, and Thelma.

She is survived by her daughter, Helen (Joe) Leal; sons, Kenneth (Joan) Newbury and Jerome (Linda) Newbury; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Sister Kathleen Longeway; sister-in-law, Eleanor Dull; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Iris will be at H.H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd 419-473-1301, on Wednesday, December 8 from 2:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral Service will start Thursday at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Online condolences may be emailed to www.birkenkampfuneralhome.com
