Mary Anna Lancaster

Mary Anna Lancaster, 76, of W. KY 10, Tollesboro died Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe. Mrs. Lancaster formerly worked at Hayswood Hospital, Parker Tobacco Company and was engaged in farming. She was a member of the Hickory Grove Church. Mrs. Lancaster was born in Lewis County, Kentucky on October 24, 1936 the daughter of the late Lacy and Irene Flack George. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Lancaster; one son, Melvin Lancaster (his fiancée, Leann Ingles) of Tollesboro; two daughters, Shelley Sullivan (Clyde) of Tollesboro and Kirkey Kitchel (Bobby) of Vanceburg; ten grandchildren, Joshua Thomas Lancaster, Kelly Dane Lancaster, Santana Nicole Lancaster, Brian Cecil Swim, Shane Thomas Swim (Joanie), Regina Marie Swim, Kayla Ann Swim, Scotty Lee Griffitt, Michael Mac Griffitt and Amanda Jill Griffitt Buckler; twelve great grandchildren, Tierra Cheyene McCann, Arianna Rose Lancaster, Makensley Grace Lancaster, Jewel Marie Griffith, Scotty James Griffitt, Candy Sue Griffitt, Scotty Lee Griffitt, Jr., Jackie Riffe, Jack Whittaker, Pamela Rhea Whittaker, Derek Ray Buckler and Adam Alex Buckler; one brother, Howard Gilbert Strode of Pine Top, NC. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth Ann Lancaster, one brother, Chester George and one sister, Alberta George. Funeral services for Mary Anna Lancaster will be held at the Hickory Grove Church at 3 PM Sunday, May 12, 2013 with Rev. Charles Emmons officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Garden of Memories. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 1PM until the hour of the service.
